Why We are Selling

The moment we stepped through the door, we fell in love with this home. It instantly felt like ours. When our offer was accepted, we were overjoyed, eager to begin building our life here. We envisioned years of cherished memories unfolding within these walls.

In 2022, I was presented with the opportunity to pursue my dream job at a company I deeply admire. For the past few years, I've had the privilege of working remotely, which allowed us to settle here in Washington. Recently, however, my role transitioned to an in-office position, forcing us to make a difficult choice: remain in my beloved job or relocate to California. After many heartfelt conversations, my spouse and I made the difficult decision to move.

Letting go of this home is incredibly challenging, but we sincerely hope that its next owners will experience the same warmth, joy, and connection that we did. This is a truly special place.

What We Love About Living Here

  • The neighborhood is a peaceful haven. Though close to 35th, it maintains a calm and walkable atmosphere.

  • Everything here is lush and green, and Fauntleroy Park is just a few minutes away.

  • The ferry and Lincoln Park are easily accessible, and you can reach any part of West Seattle in 5-10 minutes.

  • We are fortunate to be in close proximity to a variety of excellent eateries and shops.

  • Super Deli Mart and Birdhouse Coffee are just a block away, as is Bahn Mi XO, which offers amazing Vietnamese cuisine.

  • The Westy, Locol Kitchen, and Endolyn Joe's are also just a few minutes away.

  • Target and Westwood Village shopping are conveniently located down the road.

  • The house feels like a home the moment you enter. It exudes a warm, happy, and inviting vibe.

  • The front yard boasts mature trees that enhance the home's charm. When in full bloom, they beautifully frame the entryway, giving the home a storybook feel.

  • The water cistern effectively feeds the plants and vegetation on the property, creating a satisfying cycle from rain to plant life and back again.

  • The backyard provides ample space for children and dogs to run and play. The grass is lush, green, and soft.

  • The covered patio proved invaluable during late fall and throughout the winter. We enjoyed many evenings on our outdoor furniture, warmed by an outdoor heater, listening to the soothing sounds of rain.

  • The west-facing deck, accessible directly from the dining area, serves as an extension of the living space. We arranged our outdoor furniture there and enjoyed meals outside before the seasons changed.

  • The windows allow for abundant natural light throughout the day. They are double-paned, effectively maintaining warmth.

  • We installed modern blinds on the first floor, which we absolutely loved, and blackout blinds in the bedrooms, which are particularly helpful during bright mornings.

  • The hardwood floors are warm and beautiful, and the Saltillo tile in the kitchen and bathroom adds to that inviting warmth.

  • The open floor plan was perfect for hosting friends and family for meals, parties, and events, or simply for casual gatherings over a glass of wine on a weekday.

  • The downstairs room served as a wonderful sanctuary for us, accommodating out-of-town family and friends, and doubling as our home theater room with our large screen TV.

  • The downstairs room is exceptionally spacious. It functioned as a separate bedroom with a closet and also as a relaxing sitting room.

  • The home was the ideal size for us. The previous family, also a small family, found it equally comfortable. Spanning two levels, the home feels larger than it might initially appear. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire space.

  • We love cooking in the kitchen. The updated counters are lovely and easy to clean. The refrigerator is large, and the pull-out freezer is spacious and convenient. The pantry provided ample storage for our dry goods and kitchen appliances.
